Q1: Where did you come up with the name “Paigeizsenpai?”

A1: Some of my IRL friends that I would play Xbox with all the time had gamertag names that ended with “…izaninja” so I decided to Just use my middle name (Hi, my first name is Shelby, but you can call me Paige, or  Senpai!), and I chose senpai because I really enjoy watching Anime, even cutesy ones so Ouran High School Host Club holds a special place in my heart (shoutout to all my Anime/Manga lovers out there..my inner weeb is showing haha). Honey Senpai was the first character to popup in my head when thinking of my name. Thus, PaigeizSenpai was born!

Q2: How long have you been streaming for?

A2: I have been streaming over one month now, and I am enjoying the journey so far 🙂

Q3: What prompted you to start streaming?

A3:  I am going to be completely vulnerable here, and be open and honest. Towards the end of last year, I was becoming extremely depressed, and I lost myself. I stopped doing the things I loved, such as playing video games or hanging out with friends. I became consumed with work and other outside distractions that eventually lead me to be unhappy with myself, and where my life was going. I realized that I am at my happiest when I am playing video games alone or with friends.  I decided to start streaming because I wanted to create a safe space for my friends and others to come hangout and feel welcomed and just disconnect from whatever they are going through.

I didn’t want to go too into detail here with this question, I am such an emotional baby and cry over happy and sad things.

Q4: What has been the most enjoyable part of streaming for you so far?

A4: The part that I enjoy most about streaming is feeling so welcomed and loved when I enter a streamer’s chat and I am flooded with familiar faces and greetings. I really do enjoy running into all my friends, and seeing them support each other. I am so humbled to be apart of this streaming community.

Q5: What has been the biggest challenge in your streaming career so far?

A5: My biggest challenge has been trying to learn how to divide my energy and attention to support everyone. I want to support everyone equally, and I hate lurking. I want to be able to hangout, and hold a conversation with you all >.< also..time zones suck. I hate missing my UK peoples stream:(

Q6: What has been your favorite on screen memory so far?

A6: My favorite on screen memory so far has been when Waffleplaystwitch took over an hour trying to solve his audio issue, and it turns out he just needed to adjust  the volume! We will never let you forget that moment, Waffle. My stream title had to be changed to “Waffleplaystechsupport”.

Q7: What is one goal that you would like to accomplish in the next year?

A7: I really want to accomplish being more comfortable and sure of myself so that I can be a better streamer for all of you guys. I know I have a great online presence when it comes to being in other’s chats, but when I’m the one streaming its a different feeling. I still get nervous, and want everything to run smoothly so that my viewers enjoy themselves to the fullest. If you’ve been with me since the beginning, you know I used to always have tech issues haha.

Q8: What is one piece of advice that you would give to a small streamer who is just breaking into the business?

A8: DONT DO IT! TURN BACK! ITS A TRAP! Kidding haha.  I would say that you should definitely make a twitter, and NETWORK. Also, never be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. This community is very supportive, and there are tons of people willing to help you out!

Q9: What is one reason someone should watch Paigeizsenpai on Twitch?

A9:The first reason that comes to mind would be my followers/supporters. Myself and my chat are so welcoming and crazy, it is always a good time and experience in my chat. You will always feel welcomed, and noticed when you stop by my stream 🙂 please don’t ever be afraid to say hi.

Q10: Where are you from?

A10: I am from that big obnoxious state y’all see on the US Map, TEXAS 🙂

Q11: Besides playing video games, what do you like to do in your free time?

A11:In my free time, I love to binge animes, watch movies, read webtoons, stress clean my room, eat, workout, spend time with my brother since we live together, and spoil my pug.

Q12: What is your favorite food?

A12: Okay, I am a major foodie, and this is a hard question so I am just going to name a bunch of stuff. I love Asian and Italian food. I love to eat carbs..I’m a sucker for noodles or bread. Whataburger and Taco Bell are in a tie for number one fast food. If I had to choose one kind of food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be Vietnamese. One type of food I hate is sea food.

Q13: What is your all-time favorite video game?

A13: My all-time favorite game is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, it is also my favorite franchise followed by Halo and Gears of War.

Q14: What is your all-time favorite movie?

A14: My all-time favorite movie is Coraline. I have plenty others that are at the top of my list, but Coraline I always find myself going back to.

Q15: What kind of music are you most likely to be listening to on any given day?

A15: I’m normally listening to classic rock, 80’s, 90’s, and pop punk music!

Q16: Besides streaming, what would be a dream career for you?

A16:  My dream career would be to open up a no kill animal shelter on a huge piece of land. That has always been a major dream for me.

Q17: What would be the ideal vacation for you?

A17: Ideal vacation would be to travel to Japan, and visit Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka!

Q18: If you were to strike it rich, what would be the first thing you would buy?

Q18: If I were ever to strike it rich, I would immediately payoff all of my parent’s debt, move them back down to south Texas (they had to move up north for my dad’s job), buy a huge piece of land, and build my family their dream home. We are extremely family oriented, so it has been tough over the years not being close to them. I know I am lucky to still have both of my parents, and be so close with them that I try not to take them or my life for granted, and be thankful for what I have.

Q19: Is there anyone you would like to give a shoutout to for supporting you throughout this experience? If so, who?

A19:There is way too many of y’all to shoutout personally, and every time I make a list on twitter y’all call me out and make it into a rank game when I specially say that the  list is IN NO SPECIFIC ORDER haha. So thank you to each and everyone of you who have taken the time to get to know me, and treat me with so much respect. I can tell that I have made some life long fiends, and I am so damn glad to have met y’all. The only two people I am going to name is my mod, Beanomancer and my brother, Stormphrog. I would not be on twitch if it was not for them, and all the support they have put into my stream. I also want to shoutout you sALvation. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to share a piece of myself with this amazing community.

Q20: What is the next big step for Paigeizsenpai?

A20: My next big step for myself is to upgrade my stream, and make it more professional and appealing to current and new followers. Although reaching partner is a huge goal for the future, I like to set smaller goals for myself along the way.

Q21: Any final thoughts you would like to share with the readers?

A21: I just want to say if you made it all the way to the end, CONGRATULATIONS haha. Again, Thank you Sal, it really means so much to me that you picked me to be featured in your blog. Thank you to everyone who have taken the time to read my Q&A. I am really excited to continue streaming, and seeing where the journey leads me.
