Q1: Where did you come up with the name “sqlurpicide?”
A1: We have a friend named Shaggicide so he’s the original -icide. He said we should make -icide names and at the time we were making silly sqlurp noises and other sounds. So we just combined those with the -icide name and that’s my gamertag. It’s incredibly silly, but that’s the best part.
Q2: How long have you been streaming for?
A2: I want to say I made my account in June 2020 and October is when I really started to take it seriously.
Q3: What prompted you to start streaming?
A3: Originally I just did it because my friend group loved sharing funny game clips and twitch recorded everything for me. Then, I lost my job and I just figured I should lean into it a little more since I love playing video games.
Q4: What has been the most enjoyable part of streaming for you so far?
A4: Becoming friends with everyone in this incredible community. I’m bad at articulating how I feel in the moment, but chatting with all of you brings me so much joy.
Q5: What has been the biggest challenge in your streaming career so far?
A5: Playing Apex and talking to chat simultaneously. It’s a lot of pressure, but I’m getting the hang of it.
Q6: What has been your favorite on screen memory so far?
A6: It’s probably when we got the 10-10-10 badge on Apex. It was a moment of pure joy. I felt like a kid again. That and when you hopped in my chat to tell me that I killed you. Then I watched the clip back and I was SO aggressive hahaha. These battle royales get me feeling some type of way!
Q7: What is one goal that you would like to accomplish in the next year?
A7: I would love to hit Partner. That’s a longshot because the average viewer count is nuts, but I’ve got to put that out there to try and manifest it. I need to be held accountable.
Q8: What is one piece of advice that you would give to a small streamer who is just breaking into the business?
A8: Do this because you love to play video games. If you do that you’ll never be disappointed in my mind. If all of you ditched me tomorrow, I’d still be playing Apex Legends with my friends because that’s what I love. That and just making sure you’re spreading the love/good vibes. A rising tide lifts all boats.
Q9: What is one reason someone should watch sqlurpicide on Twitch?
A9: For the laughs. All I want to do is be silly with y’all and have a good time.
Q10: Where are you from?
A10: Houston Texas. Born and raised.
Q11: Besides playing video games, what do you like to do in your free time?
A11: I like working out, listening to podcasts, watching other small streamers, and eating delicious food.
Q12: What is your favorite food?
A12: Too tough. I’m a food lover. Gun to my head, it’s probably pizza just based on the versatility and overall deliciousness.
Q13: What is your all-time favorite video game?
A13: Honestly, Apex Legends might be taking that number one spot. If it’s not Apex it’s probably Halo 3.
Q14: What is your all-time favorite movie?
A14: These questions were made for decisive people and I’m not one of them haha. I always lean heavy towards comedy so it’s probably Step Brothers.
Q15: What kind of music are you most likely to be listening to on any given day?
A15: EDM all day, every day. I love almost every style of music, but EDM has my heart.
Q16: Besides streaming, what would be a dream career for you?
A16: There are no other options right now.
Q17: What would be the ideal vacation for you?
A17: I just love traveling in general. Travel brings me a lot of joy. I love nature, specifically mountains and hiking, so I take trips like that normally. It’s a great change of pace since Houston is so flat.
Q18: If you were to strike it rich, what would be the first thing you would buy?
Q18: I’m not big on things. Maybe a nice car or something, but trips are more valuable to me. I love traveling.
Q19: Is there anyone you would like to give a shoutout to for supporting you throughout this experience? If so, who?
A19: My girlfriend for putting up with my yells and screams when I get third partied. Other than her, each and every one of you reading this. It’s impossible to be where I am without yalls help. It means the world to me.
Q20: What is the next big step for sqlurpicide?
A20: We have a couple of very cool partnerships in the works that I’m really excited about. My focus though is on becoming a twitch partner. I’m locked in.
Q21: Any final thoughts you would like to share with the readers?
A21: Keep spreading the love and good vibes. Help your fellow streamers. Raid after every stream. For the low price of $0 you can brighten someone else’s day.
